Position Overview

As an Online Cybersecurity Instructor, you will deliver engaging, practical, and career-focused training to students enrolled in our programs. You’ll guide learners through real-world cybersecurity concepts, tools, and best practices — helping them build technical expertise and professional confidence.

You’ll also mentor learners one-on-one or in small groups, helping them develop portfolios, resumes, and job-interview readiness skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality online cybersecurity training sessions via Zoom or other virtual platforms.

• Teach core topics such as:

  • Network and Information Security

  • Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

  • Vulnerability Management

  • SIEM, Incident Response, and Threat Analysis

  • Cloud Security and Risk Management

  • Security+ and other certification prep topics

• Provide personalized mentorship to learners, guiding them through career transitions and hands-on practice.

• Assist students in developing real-world cybersecurity projects and portfolios.

• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with the N&N Cyber Pathways team to continuously improve course materials.

• Inspire, motivate, and prepare students for cybersecurity certifications and job success.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Any professional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CISM, CySA+).

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, analysis, or related roles.

• Excellent communication and teaching skills.

• Passion for mentoring and helping others succeed.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching or training adults online.

• Familiarity with e-learning tools, labs, and learning management systems (LMS).

• Experience in federal cybersecurity, GRC, or DoD compliance (8570/8140).
